gkII is a GTK2 based Mandelbrot fractal image generator written in C for GNU/Linux systems. gkII has a selection of algorithims which have the effect of mangling the famous Mandelbrot set, aswell as a variety of colouring methods, paramter ramping auto-layering, and colour palette manipulation.

gkII is written by James W. Morris.

Mandelbrot Exploration uses gkII to plot the Mandelbrot set in the classical manner. The gallery of Mandelbrot images it contains are my explorations deep into the set just before reaching the computational limit of 64bit floating point mathematics.
