I'd just bought a new soundcard, and compiled the latest release of Ardour the hard disk recorder for Linux (along with the rest), which unfortunately crashed a little more than I'd have liked. This is also a fairly improvised piece, the beats are continually looped by the Hydrogen drum machine, and edited at the same time as recording. The melody pieces were also improvised and their sounds are courtesy of ZynAddSubFX. The whole lot was recorded and put together in Ardour, and edited with fades and filter sweeps and fx sends etc. My first attempt at mastering using jammin.
