For this work I have selected sentances from an occasional dream journal and placed them on seperate lines in a plain text file. The Superloopy PHP code stores each word of each sentance in memory, along with a reference to the words immediately either side. Words which start or end the sentance are flagged as such.

Once the file has been processed it seeds the random number generator with the chapter number thus forcing each chapter to have identical text each time it is displayed.

Superloopy is limited to display 5 chapters, but by directly altering the chapter=n part of the url, chapters -300, 1230022, and the like can be viewed. Chapter -1 is a special case handled differently: it uses a text file containing a description of Superloopy as the source text.

A random word for starting a sentance is chosen and then a random word is chosen from those stored as following that word. A sentance may only end if the chosen word is flagged as capable of ending a sentance.

I have since discovered that more sophisticated random text generators use Markov Chains, which work in a similiar manner, but take into account the frequency of words following each other, which mine does not.
